Completed plans call for the demolition of a sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Somerset Sidewalk Repairs - Removal and replacement of sidewalk panels in the Somerset Subdivision. The selected contractor will ensure that the sidewalks are removed with minimal damage to surrounding property and that replaced panels meet ADA guidelines. The successful proposer shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, parts, and materials required to perform the following services. All work must be completed prior to December 1 , 2026. Sidewalk Removal and Replacement All JULIE requirements shall be met prior to removal of sidewalk. Construction shall follow Section 424 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Sidewalk shall be removed with minimal damage to surrounding turf and adjacent infrastructure. Concrete saw shall be used to cut the concrete at the nearest joint. Sidewalk shall be broken into manageable pieces and disposed of by the bidder. Excavated area shall be protected with orange construction fencing until sidewalk has cured and is ready to be opened to the public for use. Subgrade shall be removed to allow for 4" of subgrade granular material to be placed and compacted below the new sidewalk panel. Subgrade granular material shall be compacted tightly with a plate compactor. Sidewalk panels shall be formed using wood or metal forms. Forms shall be set to ensure sidewalk meets ADA compliance. Joint spacing should match existing conditions. Portland cement concrete shall be used for the sidewalk with a maximum slump of 4". Concrete shall be leveled and smoothed with a light broom finish applied to the surface. Any new concrete panel placed by the bidder that exceeds 2.0% cross slope will be removed and replaced by the bidder at his/her expense. If existing panel exceeds 2.0%, contractor will match existing slopes over a 2' transition length.
