The Work generally consists of Schedule A levee improvements, including construction of a sand trench and large sand berm at Champion Park using Owner-furnished sand; removal and replacement of four levee gatewell structures, including associated piping and valves; import and placement of approximately 21,000 cubic yards of earthen fill to raise the existing levee; installation of approximately 500 linear feet of 36-inch smooth interior and corrugated exterior high density polyethylene pipe to enclose the existing open ditch leading toward the Elm Street Pump Station; and other Work specified and or shown on the Drawings as necessary to complete the Schedule A levee improvements. The Work may also include additive bid alternate work for improvements to the 16th Avenue Pump Station. The Contractor will be subject to the Davis-Bacon Act (40USC276a) and the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870 (the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law). The successful bidder and all associated subcontractors must meet grant requirements or provisions and be licensed to conduct business in Oregon State. The Owner is an equal opportunity employer.
