The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the J9 Suite Remodel project at the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), 2-Story Building, 6848 S Revere Parkway, Centennial CO 80112. The J9 Directorate was established in 2022 and is the one stop for Colorado National Guard (CONG) members and their families to access prevention, response, and readiness services. The J9 suite (3,900 SF) is located on the north side of the first floor of the 2-Story Building and consists of 10 offices, 18 cubicles and 1 conference room. The construction project aims to refresh the look of the suite by replacing the carpet and cubicles, enlarging the entrance and constructing new walls to enclose a new 250 SF breakroom area within the existing open office. Electrical and mechanical work are included to ensure new cubicles are powered and supply adequate air flow to the breakroom. (Please note that the new carpet, baseboard and loose furniture including cubicles are purchased by the Owner.) Contractors shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and coordination necessary for full implementation. The scope includes the renovation of the J9 suite in the 2-Story Building in compliance with ADA Standards for accessible Design 2024 International Building Code (IBC) and 2017 International Code Council (ICC) Accessibility Guidelines Design & Planning o Obtain all necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies. Demolition & Site Preparation o Demolish parts of walls to achieve the new layout. o Ensure all electrical and mechanical systems are assessed before construction begins. o Owner will remove existing cubicles and loose furniture in the open work area before construction begins. Construction & Installation o Construct new walls with electrical outlets. o Move the existing entrance door out to create a larger entry space. o Provide power to new cubicles and other furniture (cubicles and furniture are purchased by Owner.) o Provide conduits and wall boxes only for data (data wires are provided and installed by Owner's supplier.) o Provide adequate air flow to the newly enclosed breakroom. There will be three alternates included in this project: o Alternate #1 involves removing the existing carpet tiles and rubber base in the Open Office and installing new carpet tiles and rubber base purchased by Owner. o Alternate #2 involves removing the existing carpet tiles and rubber base inside the enclosed offices and conference room and installing new carpet tiles and rubber base purchased by Owner. o Alternate #3 involves painting existing walls inside the Open Office (the painting of new walls is included in the Base Bid.)
