The City of South Lake Tahoe desires to obtain professional governmental accounting technical consulting services to assist the Finance Department with complex accounting matters, implementation of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements, and preparation of supporting documentation necessary for accurate and reliable financial reporting. The selected consultant will provide technical expertise, research, analysis, and recommendations related to governmental accounting matters, including, but not limited to, assistance with the ongoing compliance of applicable GASB standards, including GASB Statement Nos. 72 (Fair Value Measurement and Application), 87 (Leases), 96 (Subscription-Based Information Technology Arrangements), and 101 (Compensated Absences), as well as the implementation of and ongoing compliance with any future GASB standards.
