Vancouver Island University (VIU) is to solicit Tenders from experienced contractors who have the capacity to refresh the Royal Arbutus Room in Building 300, including the replacement of the elevator from the main cafeteria at VIU's Nanaimo Campus. Below is summary of the requirements: Replace the elevator Remove two offices and revise the storage closet as per plans Remove the upper stairway wall and replace with a glass wall Remove the ceiling tiles and revise the ceiling finish as per RCP Retrofit the bar area Revise and re-locate electrical, HVAC, and plumbing Install a new ramp for patio access Supply and install new acoustic fixtures and light fixtures Revise A/V equipment Paint the walls and new ceiling Replace the flooring Replace folding banquet tables Replace stacking banquet chairs Documents can be obtained from https://viu.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/109297
