Site work and paving for a road / highway in Arlington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Bituminous Concrete Pavement Repairs - Various Locations - The work of the project consists in general of removal and disposal of existing damaged or failed asphalt and repaving of these areas using cut and patch and grind and inlay restoration methods. The estimated cost of construction is $100,000 per year. The work under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services for the following bituminous concrete pavement repairs methods: 1. Cut and Patch Method 2. Grind and Inlay Method Cut and Patch Method Saw cut existing asphalt neatly with straight lines and edges. Remove and dispose existing asphalt. Remove and dispose existing subbase up to 8". Install up to 8" of gravel subbase, compact and grade properly. Pave 2.5" HMA binder course. TAC to sand seal joints. Pave 1.5" HMA top course. Grind and Inlay Method The work to be done consists of excavating Bituminous Pavement by cold planer in designated areas to improve paved trenches and areas of disintegrating top course of asphalt, then replacing said areas with 1.5 inches of new bituminous concrete pavement. Structure Adjustments Locations of pavement restoration may require grade adjustment of various structures within the roadways of Arlington. These structures are broken up into two (2) sub categories listed below: Type 1 : Drainage Manhole, Drainage Catch Basin, Sewer Manhole, Infiltration Trench Inspection Ports Type 2: Water Gate Box, Gas Gate Box The contract will be for an initial term beginning on or about September 1 , 2026, and ending December 31 , 2026. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Contract may be renewed at the sole discretion of the Town of Arlington for two additional terms in one year increments. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women. Question Deadline 07/31/2026 Any questions by prospective Bidders concerning interpretation of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing via email to the Purchasing Agent for the Town of Arlington at the email address specified in the Invitation to Bid and should be in the Purchasing Agent's possession at least four days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, before the date set for the receipt of general bids.
