Provide and install new perimeter fencing to upgrade the installation boundary in the vicinity of Buffalo Soldier Gate and along Buffalo Soldier Trail. The work includes field verification of fence alignments, installation of ornamental fencing with ASTM F2656 M40 (K8) rated passive vehicle barriers, installation of chain link security fencing, and installation of chain link fencing with steel cable reinforced passive vehicle barriers. Existing fencing shall be removed or demolished as specified, while maintaining continuous perimeter security at all times. Existing wildlife corridors are to remain undisturbed and their locations verified with the Contracting Officer Representative. Chain link fencing shall be 8 feet high with outriggers, three strands of barbed wire, minimum 9-gauge mesh, and shall comply with UFC 4-022-03 and UFGS 32.31.13 requirements. Reinforced chain link fence sections shall include three strands of steel cable reinforcement attached to deadman anchors. Ornamental fencing shall match the existing ornamental fence near Buffalo Soldier Gate, and K8-rated ornamental fence sections shall include rock-faced columns and steel-backed vehicle barrier systems designed to achieve the required impact rating. The contractor shall provide work plans, drawings, material submittals, construction schedules, safety plans, traffic control plans, dig permits, and stormwater pollution prevention documentation. Work includes signage removal, relocation, and installation of new warning, no trespassing, and no drone signs at specified intervals. Monthly progress meetings, schedule updates, solid waste and recycling reporting, and environmental compliance measures are required throughout the project. Environmental requirements include archaeological monitoring, invasive species controls, reseeding of disturbed areas with approved native seed mixes, erosion and dust control, protection of migratory birds, and compliance with all applicable environmental regulations. Upon completion, the contractor shall provide training, as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, final project documentation, and all closeout deliverables.
