Grubbing shall include, but not be limited to, the removal and disposal of all trees, brush, stumps, grass, weeds, decayed vegetative matter, loose boulders of two (2) cubic yard or less, downed trees, and all other material regardless of type and/or condition resting on or protruding through the ground surface. The removal of trees, shrubs and other vegetation shall include their complete root system to a depth of at least eighteen (18)-inches below the existing surface. No burning or burial of the resulting debris will be allowed on-site. Site Demolition shall include all other necessary site demolition items such as removal and storage of decorative landscaping including trees, shrubs, and mulching; removal and storage of signs, sheds, lamp posts, fences, mailboxes, etc. and all other items not specifically listed under other Bid Items but necessary to complete the Work as determined by the Borough, Engineer and/or Contractor. This Item shall also include tree trimming as necessary and /or as directed by the Borough and/or Engineer. Site protection shall include protection of adjacent structures, poles, guy wires, overhead lines, driveways, etc. as well as temporary chain-link fence to completely protect the work area. Erosion and Sediment Control shall include all labor, tools, equipment and material necessary to purchase, install, maintain for the complete project duration, and remove after Final Completion all erosion and sedimentation control measures as directed by the Owner and/or Engineer, complete in place. This Item shall include, but be not limited to, silt sock; erosion control blanket; topsoil and seed over erosion control blanket; concrete washout; rock construction entrance and inlet protection, complete in place. This Item shall also include restoration of areas under removed silt sock.
