Site work for a water / sewer project in Grand Prairie, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Installation and improvements of water and wastewater utility infrastructure. Question Deadline 08/26/2026 at 3:00 PM CT All questions concerning the plans, specifications, this meeting agenda and bid of this project shall be entered into online Condition Survey; General site preparation; Construction staking; BMPs (inlet protection, concrete truck washout area, construction entrance/exit); 1,650 LF of 8" and 12" SDR 26 PVC Wastewater Mains; 4,740 LF of 12" DR- 18 C900 Water Mains; 4,944 SY of Temporary Asphalt Pavement Repair; 4,400 LF of Asphalt Curb and Gutter; o 48" Diameter Manholes: 60" Diameter Manholes; And other miscellaneous and associated items required to complete the work in compliance with the plans and specifications. Coordination with others: Bid plans were released to the utility companies on June 24, 2026. We anticipate the franchise utility companies will be clear of this project once construction begins . The Engineer's SUE picked up an existing Atmos gas line, telecom cables, and some fiber optics running along small street. Coordinate all work with utility companies. See General Note 3 in the plans and section 10-29 General Notes of the Bid Book. The Contractor shall call companies such as Texas811 for line locates. Coordinate water line shutdowns through the inspector who will work with Water/Wastewater and Fiber Optics Utilities staff if encountered; ROW- The work on this project is within City ROW along Small Street as shown on the plans. Emergency Response Services Fee: Pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40 (Reimbursement of Local Governments for Emergency Response to Spills of Hazardous Substances) and the City Code of Grand Prairie Article I, Chap. 12 Sec. 12-14 - Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Cost Recovery, Emergency Response Services will be rendered by the City of Grand Prairie Fire Department to mitigate, control , contain, respond or otherwise protect people and the environment from the release, discharge, leak or spillage of hazardous material related to any act by the Contractor or its agents. If the release, discharge, leak or spillage of hazardous material is the result from negligence of or omission by the Contractor, the Contractor shall reimburse the City Fire Department the fee of $ 1,250.00 for the cleanup work required in accordance with the City Code for each such occurrence. Cleanup required not due to negligence of or omission by the Contractor shall be at the City expense. The purpose of this project is to replace and rehabilitate the existing water and wastewater facilities along Small Street, extending from N Belt Line Road to just past Skyline Circle. This project will address the aging infrastructure and provide upgraded infrastructure to this area.
