Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Surrey, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a stadium; retail development; and restaurant.
The proposed City Centre Arena is a mid-sized, multi-purpose arena designed to support a range of sports, entertainment, cultural, and community events. The venue is planned to accommodate approximately 10,000 spectators in hockey configuration and approximately 9,500 spectators in concert configuration, with additional standing room capacity of approximately 700. Premium programming will be supported through 12 suites, 2 larger group suites, and club/bar areas with a combined capacity of approximately 750. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals is underway seeking project management services for the project. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is to invite qualified and experienced consulting teams (each a "Proponent") to submit a proposal (each a "Proposal") to provide comprehensive project management services for the planning, design, procurement, construction, and delivery of the City Centre Arena project in Surrey City Centre. The successful Proponent will act as the Owner's project manager (i.e the project manager for the City) and will be responsible for providing strategic advice, project leadership, coordination, governance support, schedule and budget management, risk management, stakeholder coordination, procurement support, and overall project oversight to assist the City and SCDC in achieving the project's objectives.
