The Project Includes, but is Not Limited to, Performing the Following Work: Asphalt Concrete Cold Milling and BASE Failure Repair Asphalt Concrete Paving Pavement Reinforcing Fabric Traffic Stripes, Pavement Markers & Markings Traffic Loop and Handhole Replacements Traffic Control (Specific) This Project is on the Following Streets in the City of Walnut Creek: Bancroft Road From Mayhew Way to Ygnacio Valley Road Treat Boulevard East of Bancroft Road to County/City Limit LINE Stratton Drive Cul De Sacs (York CT, Drayton CT, Barrow CT, Downham CT, Eton CT, and Trestle CT) Rudgear Drive Approximate a Bidder Must Use the Bid Proposal and Schedule Forms Provided in the Project Manual or the City May Reject the Bid Proposal as Nonresponsive. Time for Beginning and Completion of Work: The Contractor Shall Begin Work No Later Than Five Working Days After the Beginning Date Specified in the Notice to Proceed (Which May Be Hand Delivered or Sent by Email). A Bid Proposal Must Be Accompanied by Cash, a Bid Bond, a Cashier's Check or Certified Check Payable to the City of Walnut Creek in an Amount Equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount Bid. Bid Bonds Shall Be Original, Not Photocopied. Upon Award of the Contract, the Contractor Shall Furnish a Bond for Faithful Performance of the Project in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of Its Total Bid Price and a Bond to Secure the Payment of All Claims for Labor and Materials in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of Its Total Bid Price. The Contractor and Each Subcontractor That Will Perform Work on the Project Are Required to Pay for and Obtain a City of Walnut Creek Business License. The Contractor May Elect to Receive One Hundred Percent (100%) of Progress and Milestone Payments Due Under the Contract Without Retention of Any Portion of the Payment by the City, by Depositing Securities of Equivalent Value With the City or an Escrow Agent in Accordance With Public Contract Code Section 22300. The Contractor Shall Complete All the Work on the Project Within 30 Working Days After the Beginning Date Specified in the Notice to Proceed. In Accordance With the Labor Code Sections 1771 and 1773.2, the City Council of the City of Walnut Creek Has Ascertained the General Prevailing Rate of Wages Applicable to This Work.
