The City of Courtenay (the "City") is seeking Proposals from qualified consulting firms for the provision of engineering consulting and construction services for the design and installation of six pickleball courts at Lewis Park. The project objective is the creation of a tournament ready pickleball facility that will encourage tourism and increase use of Lewis Park. Question Deadline 08/13/2026 All enquiries related to this RFP are to be directed by email, Derek Nagel Procurement Specialist I Purchasing@courtenay.ca The Contractor will act as the Prime Contractor and be responsible for the delivery of six pickleball courts at Lewis Park. The Contractor shall provide all labour, material , equipment, and services necessary to deliver the facility. In December 2025, LANARC Consultants provided the City with a concept design plan (attached separately). Proponents shall provide a detailed cost breakdown for the delivery of this plan, excluding any optional items ( i.e. lighting). The Contractor will use their experience to further develop the concept design and provide the City with recommendations on materials and construction methods. The project objective is the creation of a tournament ready pickleball facility that will encourage tourism and increase use of Lewis Park.
