Reinforce a section of streambank along Jones Brook utilizing standard slope reinforcement techniques. Questions during Bid by August 6th at 5:00 p.m. Mobilization and Demobilization The work of this Item shall include mobilization and Demobilization of all necessary equipment and materials; set up and removal of the necessary storage areas, field offices and such sanitary and other temporary facilities as are required by Federal , State and local law or regulation; obtaining all required permits, insurance and bonds; furnishing and installing the project sign; and any costs associated with initiation and finalization of the Contract work. Payment for the work of the Fixed Maximum Lump Sum Item shall be made at the Contractor's Bid Price. The amount bid may be requested by the Contractor with the first monthly pay requisition. Item 2.0 - Temporary Access Road The work for this item shall include all necessary work to construct a temporary access road as indicated on the drawings and in the technical specifications. The work of this Lump Sum Item shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Establishment and maintenance of property lines, rights of way and easements, Tree clearing and site grubbing Excavation and backfill, Associated earthwork, as previously described, Geotextiles 1" to 4" stone road fill Riprap The work for this item includes all necessary furnishing and installation of Riprap and associated work as indicated on the Drawings and the Details. The work of this lump sum item shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Furnishing, hauling, and placement of Riprap, o Removal of debris, stones, and unsuitable materials, Associated earthwork, as previously described, Item 4.0 - Topsoil, Seeding and Mulching The work for this item includes the furnishing and installation of Topsoil, Seeding and Mulching, and all associated work as indicated on the Drawings and the Details. The work of this lump sum Item shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Furnishing, hauling, and placement of topsoil, Furnishing, hauling, and placement of seeds, Mulching Removal of debris, stones, and unsuitable materials, Associated earthwork and surface preparation, as previously described, Project Components - The project consists of approximately 4,600 SF of streambank stabilization. Separate aspects of the project have been divided to provide contractors with a better understanding. Contractor shall incorporate all items into a single Lump Sum bid . The project involves all work necessary to reinforce the streambank in accordance with the NRCS Construction Specifications
