35th Avenue Multimodal Improvements - The City seeks the Consultant's expert guidance in shaping a varied and context-sensitive corridor along 35th Avenue, extending the neighborhood bikeway from Sheridan Boulevard to Wadsworth Boulevard. This project must integrate three key elements-traffic calming, bicycle infrastructure, and pedestrian amenities-adapted to local conditions and community input. Corridor Tailoring: Recognizing diverse conditions and feedback from residents along the route, the design will be customized. In zones with higher activity--such as parks, major walking destinations, and higher-traffic areas, the focus will be on installing 5 foot wide attached sidewalks and sharrows (shared-lane markings). Strategic Flexibility: In less-traveled or more constrained segments, where right-of-way or property access is sensitive, the use of advisory shoulders will be considered. This approach preserves access to adjacent properties while promoting multimodal use and minimizing potential impacts.
