The City of Arvada seeks a professional contracting firm to complete asphalt repair work on the Bicycle Training Course, a parking lot bicycle facility located at the rear of 5150 Allison Street (Jeffco Headstart). The project site is open to the public, and bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the location to familiarize themselves with all existing conditions relevant to the proposed work. Work will include the removal of existing vertical elements (bollards and signage), the removal of a concrete pad with inlaid railroad tracks approximately 23yd2 (210 SF) in size, and approximately 2,000 yd2 (18,000 SF) of 2" mill and overlay. Asphalt mix design will be SX 1/2 " for mill and overlay top layer. The work will also include the layout, striping, and signing of the course which includes approximately 2,635 LF of white striping, 170 SF of green paint, 3100 SF of colored paint, 36 painted bicycle and road symbols (crosswalk bars, bicycle lane symbols, etc.), and the installation of 17 signs.
