This Scope of Work outlines the general activities, responsibilities, and deliverables associated with the earthwork construction for Cell 2A at the City of Durant C&D Landfill. The work generally includes site preparation, clearing and grubbing, excavation, structural fill , subgrade preparation, preparation of the existing Cell 1A liner tie-in, construction of a three-foot-thick compacted clay liner, placement of a one-foot protective soil layer over the clay liner after the liner thickness has been verified, temporary drainage controls, site restoration , cleanup, and related work shown on the construction drawings. The compacted clay liner shall be constructed to achieve a hydraulic conductivity no greater than 1.0 x 10-5 cm/sec and shall serve as the low-permeability soil component of the landfill liner system. PROJECT SCHEDULE Time is of the essence. The City of Durant desires that the project be completed in an expeditious manner. The construction activities are generally anticipated to include the following phases: Phase 1 : Site Preparation and Excavation Phase 2: Structural Fill, Subgrade Preparation, and Existing Liner Tie-In Preparation Phase 3: Clay Liner Construction Phase 4: Protective Soil Layer Placement Phase 5: Temporary Drainage Controls, Site Restoration, and Cleanup Questions regarding the bid documents, drawings , specifications, or site conditions shall be submitted in writing to the Owner, Consultant, and Project Engineer
