Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Port Angeles, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of all aspects of the intersection enhancement design and the PS&E package, including surveying, engineering, assistance with securing necessary R/W, completion of Environmental Documentation and any necessary permits. Work may also include bid support, construction inspection, and/or construction management during the construction phase. The PS&E package must adhere to WSDOT & City standards. The primary focus of the project is to improve intersection safety at local street intersections in the city of Port Angeles.The major features of the project are as follows: Install mini-roundabouts and curb ramps: Laurel & 6th, Laurel & 7th, Laurel & 9th, 6th & Vine, 6th & Chase, 6th & Oak, 2nd & Francis, and 2nd & Washington. lnstall retroreflective visibility enhancements to existing stop control: Laurel & 3rd, Laurel & 5th, Laurel & 8th lnstall marked crosswalk and curb ramps: Laurel & 5th Assess the addition of a mini-roundabout or other safety improvements at 3rd & Oak Set-asides: 10% SBE. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
