Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Fort Edward, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.

Building demolition including foundation removal, utility decommissioning, hazardous material abatement (asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs), erosion and sediment control, and site restoration including fill, topsoil, and seeding. 50 East Street and its Detached Garage Obtain permits and approvals. Meet NYS SHPO requirements. Compliance with NYS HCR Mandatory Section 3 Contract Clause and provide Section 3 Utilization Plan. Secure the site. Notify neighbors, Village, and any other affected party of the future work. Coordinate with utility providers, including but not limited to Village of Fort Edward (water), Washington County Sewer District #2 (sanitary sewer), Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (National Grid) (electric), and National Grid (gas). Perform hazardous material abatement as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. Obtain from the utility providers the required means and methods and work limits for decommissioning of the utility. Decommission utilities per the requirements provided by the utility provider. Decommissioning of the utilities may require trenching and/or excavations, which the contractor shall perform. Install erosion and sediment control. Demolish the structure and remove foundation walls to 1 feet below grade (detached garage will be removed including the slab-on-grade foundation). Provide fill in foundation cavity. Provide topsoil and seed to cap the site. Perform all required testing and inspections. Handle, remove and dispose of all materials in accordance with NYCRR Part 56 and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Temporary protection of utilities. Maintenance and protection of traffic . Site restoration. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents and applicable standards. Contractors shall comply with all applicable regulations for removal and disposal of all hazardous materials including asbestos containing materials, lead based paint, and PCBs. 62 Canal Street Note, 62 Canal Street was deemed too structurally dangerous to enter so special conditions apply. Perform controlled demolition with asbestos in place as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. Demolish the structure and remove foundation walls to 1 feet below grade. Provide fill in foundation cavity. Provide topsoil and seed to cap the site. Perform all required testing and inspections. Handle, remove and dispose of all materials in accordance with NYCRR Part 56 and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Temporary protection of utilities. Maintenance and protection of traffic. Site restoration. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents and applicable standards. Prepare, submit, pay for and obtain all variances required to complete the work, including, but not limited to the 25'-0" minimum regulated work area from outermost limit of disturbance. Obtain the permission of all adjacent property owners where protection, sealing of openings and the like may be required on adjacent properties . Provide all water sources required to maintain adequate wetness of all waste. No dry disturbance or removal of ACM, PACM, or Asbestos material shall be permitted. All debris generated by the demolition shall be considered to be asbestos contaminated waste and shall be disposed of as RACM by the contractor. Contractors shall comply with all applicable regulations for removal and disposal of all hazardous materials including asbestos containing materials, lead based paint, and PCBs. This work will be awarded as one (1) single prime contract. The Bid will be received on a Lump Sum Basis Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond.
