NJ TRANSIT has issued an RFP for redevelopment of a 4.3-acre site adjacent to the Bayonne-34th Street Station along the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail in Bayonne, New Jersey. The project will transform two surface parking lots into a mixed-use, transit-oriented community featuring affordable housing, apartments, retail/commercial space, public areas, commuter parking, bicycle infrastructure, streetscape improvements, transit connections, accessibility features, and other community amenities. Responses are due September 23. The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) is seeking a development partner to acquire or lease and redevelop a commuter parking lot at the NJ TRANSIT rail station in Linden, New Jersey into a transit-oriented housing community. The project prioritizes affordable housing and is expected to include resident and commuter parking, pedestrian connectivity, and energy-efficient design elements. Applications are due September 28 and the development will complement nearby mixed-use projects.
