The City of Bartow is seeking bids from qualified and experienced contractors to provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision to complete the refurbishment of the Lime Silo at the Water Department located at 2500 Highway 17N, Bartow, FL 33830. The scope includes repairs to exterior metal panels, interior bands, metal doorframes and doors, along with all associated painting. The project requires a contractor capable of delivering a turnkey solution that includes obtaining necessary materials, equipment, and building permits. The selected contractor must ensure timely and efficient completion while maintaining strict safety standards, adhering to all engineering specifications, and assuming full responsibility for site maintenance and restoration. Unsuccessful bidders will be entitled to return of surety. A successful bidder may forfeit any surety required upon failure on their part to enter into a contract within the specified time after the award. Performance Bond & Payment Bond: A Public Construction or Performance and Payment Bond will be required on all construction contracts when the price exceeds $250,000. A surety bond shall be required of the successful bidder in an amount equal to the awarded contract price and, if called out in the contract, the allowance amount; and shall be submitted to Procurement along with the executed contract documents as outlined under Instructions to Bidders, The City reserves the right to reject, at their discretion, any VECP submittal.
