Site work, outdoor lighting and renovation of a road / highway in San Mateo, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a road / highway; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
High voltage streetlight conversion including earthwork, landscaping, concrete curbs and sidewalks, overhead sign structures and poles, and electrical systems. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check required. CONTRACT TIME: 80 Working Days The estimated construction cost of this project is $4,000,000. Question Deadline 08/20/2026 Questions regarding the bid must be received a minimum of 5 business days before the due date in writing at publicworks@cityofsan mateo.org. Temporary Traffic and Pedestrian Control The price paid for Temporary Traffic Control includes full compensation for performing the scope of work specified in the special provisions and in the CA-MUTCD. The price paid for Temporary Traffic Control includes full compensation for: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals; doing all the work involved including preparation, implementation and maintenance of the traffic and pedestrian control plan ; portable changeable message signs; barricades; flaggers; temporary ADA compliant pedestrian ramps; materials used for temporary facilities to maintain public vehicular and pedestrian traffic through the work area and to maintain access to adjacent businesses; placing, removing, storing and maintaining NoParking signs; temporary signs, construction area signs, project funding signs, and other traffic control devices; flagging; Remove Luminaire - The price paid for Remove Luminaire shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, doing all the work involved in removing luminaire including removal of wires, complete in place, including disposal outside the City. Remove Striping , Pavement Markings, and Pavement Markers - The price paid for Remove Striping, Pavement Markings, and Pavement Markers includes full compensation for: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals and doing all the work involved in removal of existing and temporary pavement striping, yellow striping, markings, and markers including documenting all existing striping with photographs and plan mark-up, submitting Lead Compliance Plan for review, removing and disposing all existing traffic stripes, pavement markings, crosswalk striping, pavement legends, pavement markers, removing and disposing the resulting material . All existing pavement striping, markings, and markers that conflict with the proposed pavement striping, markings, and markers are to be removed. 2" Full-Width Grinding (Asphalt Concrete) - The final pay price paid for 2" Full-Width Grinding (Asphalt Concrete) includes full compensation for: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals; doing all the work involved in full-width grinding including, cold planning/grinding, working around existing roadway structures as needed; compaction of subgrade; and clean up, removal , and disposal of removed material (including pavement fabric). Measurement is irrespective of the number of passes required to cold plane/grind the areas to the specified measurements as shown on the Plans. Work performed outside of the design measurements as marked in the field will be at the Contractor's expense. Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A) - Overlay - The price paid for Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A) - Overlay includes full compensation for: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals; doing all the work involved in constructing Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A); tack coat application ; any other surface preparation required; saw-cutting; excavation and disposal of excavated materials; hot mix asphalt placement; hand raking; compaction ; concrete crack treatment, concrete fill material , installation of blue fire hydrant markers and adjustment of monument covers to finished grade. Post-Top LED Luminaire - The price paid for Post-Top LED Luminaire, shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, doing all the work involved in furnishing and installing Post-Top LED luminaire, complete in place including but not limited to installing # 10 circuit conductors from the pull box to the luminaire, conductors splicing and installing photocell. Post-top luminaire shall be Spring City Luminaire Model : ALMNWF-LE100-EVX-L18-30-CR4-YS11 -AR-TR7P-CU or approved equal. Ground Rod - The price paid for Ground Rod , shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, doing all the work involved in furnishing and installing ground rod per Details A and B on Project Plans, complete in place including terminating ground wires and all other work as may be required to complete the installation. Ground rod is required in all pull boxes connected to a street light pole and in all main street light pull boxes adjacent to PG &E secondary service box. 10A Fuse and Holder - The price paid for 10A Fuse and Holder, shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, doing all the work involved in furnishing and installing 10A fuse and holder per Details A and B on Project Plans, complete in place including splicing conductors and all other work as may be required to complete the installation. 10A fuses and holders are required in all pull boxes connected to a streetlight. Fuses shall be rated for 10A and 600V with melamine body (Littelfuse KLK Series or approved equal).
