Box out and grading of Commercial Avenue to prepare for finished paving. The Village of Penn Yan Department of Public Works is requesting sealed bids for the fulldepth reconstruction and paving of Commercial Avenue. This project is to be completed fall 2026. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work, including but not limited to the following: . Saw cut pavement limits as necessary. Remove and dispose of the existing asphalt pavement and underlying subgrade material to a depth of approximately 12 inches below the existing pavement surface, full width from edge of pavement to edge of pavement. (Existing material may also be dropped at our storage yard on Elmwood Avenue, Penn Yan.) Furnish and install geotextile stabilization fabric over the full width and length of the roadway. Furnish, place, grade, and compact 6 inches of No. 2 Crusher Run stone base (approximately 370 cubic yards) to match existing drainage structures. Furnish and place 4 inches of 19.0 mm asphalt binder course. Furnish and place 2 inches of 9.5 mm asphalt top course. Adjust paving around existing drainage structures as necessary. Pave driveway aprons disturbed by the work. Payment for driveway apron paving will be made at the unit price for asphalt pavement based on actual field-measured quantities. Maintain access to adjacent properties throughout construction to the greatest extent practical. Maintain traffic control in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and all applicable regulations.
