Wisconsin Dells - Portage I-90/94 modernization project expanding interstate mainline between STH 23 and STH 12 Interchange, reconstructing STH 12 Interchange, new overpass bridges at Xanadu and Ishnala and new bridges over Mirror Lake due to safety and operational concerns This is a Design Build Project and will reconstruct and expanded 2.8 miles of I-90/94 between STH 23 and STH 12 Interchange in Sauk County. This project will reconstruct STH 12 Interchange, new overpass bridges at Xanadu and new interstate bridges at Ishnala, STH 12 and over Mirror Lake due to safety and operational concerns. A new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) will be construction at the interchange of STH 12 and I-90/94. Services in the first contract will assist the Department with plan reviews, including evaluating Alternative Technical Concepts. Additional contracts will be awarded from this solicitation for the multi-year construction oversight of the Design Build project. Consultant firms hired by a municipality as a contracted municipal engineer may not compete for contracts that WisDOT is a party to that impact the municipality per FDM 8-5-3.4. Effected municipalities include the Town of Delton and the Village of Lake Delton.
