The Scope of Services of this prequalification package is for the Historic Interior Wood Door and Frame Conservation, Restoration, and Reinstallation. As part of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, we require a Subcontractor(s) who possesses the skills, experience, and knowledge of Historic Interior Wood Door and Frame Conservation, Restoration, and Reinstallation This singular prequalification call will be for various packages including, but not limited to, the packages listed bel TP08H - Historic Interior Wood Door and Frame Conservation, Restoration, and Replication Conservation and restoration of historic wood doors and frames. Traditional wood joinery repairs including mortise-and-tenon construction, doweling, Dutchman repairs, and localized wood stabilization. Dismantling, tagging, documentation, packaging, transportation, off-site restoration, and reinstallation of heritage assets. Replication of missing or deteriorated heritage wood components including rails, stiles, mouldings, tracery, carvings, glazing stops, veneers, and decorative profiles. Integration of modern systems into heritage assemblies including acoustic seals, access control, electrified hardware, security upgrades, and door operators. Coordination with heritage consultants, conservators, glazing specialists, and hardware consultants. Conservation or replication of heritage doors incorporating leaded glass, textured glass, or decorative glazing systems. Refinishing and finishing of heritage wood surfaces utilizing historically appropriate techniques and premium-grade architectural woodwork standards. TP08H.1 - Reinstallation Installation of historic wood frames within existing masonry, plaster, stone, and heritage wall assemblies. Field fitting and scribing of doors and frames to irregular heritage openings. Alignment and adjustment of door leaves to compensate for historic building movement and settlement. Installation utilizing concealed fasteners and heritage-sensitive anchoring systems. Integration of fire-rated and acoustically rated assemblies within heritage openings. Installation of transoms, sidelights, glazing systems, and decorative trims. Preservation of adjacent heritage materials during installation activities. Prequalification Package 1087 A - Historic Interior Wood Door and Frame Conservation, Restoration, and Reinstallation for projects values at up to $3M; and/or Prequalification Package 1087 B - Historic Interior Wood Door and Frame Conservation, Restoration, and Reinstallation for projects values at up to $6M.
