The Bright-Slocum Center Renovations project will focus on four main goals for renovation of a majority of the first floor: Improving the overall circulation of the facility, renovating player-centric spaces, renovating player support spaces, and renovating public spaces. In support of these goals, the project will create two new corridors, one facilitating flow to and from Kyle Field, and the second will provide a closer path for the players to access the Davis Center on the south edge . The renovation of the player-centric spaces will upgrade their day-to- day experience of the facility. This includes a reconfiguration of the athletic training area, a new hydrotherapy room with a focus on post practice recovery, an updated locker room with larger lockers and new finishes, and a new player's lounge to provide a space for team bonding, mental recovery and aroundthe-clock nutrition. The player support spaces will include the reconfiguration of the equipment room and the relocation of the staff and student worker locker rooms. A preceding project will relocate the coaches' locker rooms to spaces on the second floor. Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services including pre-construction services such as constructability guidance, cost estimates, construction schedules, and complete construction services for the Bright-Slocum Center Renovation project. The Planning Amount for the project is $52,000,000, which includes an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of $34,092,767. Fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies make up the balance of the Planning Amount.
