Description

Site work and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Terrace, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel.

Two bridge sites along the Dala Forest Service Road, including assessment of an existing 12m steel girder bridge and design work for a 21m steel girder bridge replacement. Site one previously consisted of a two bridge multi-span crossing. The second bridge has been washed out by flood events. A 21 m steel girder bridge is available as a replacement and ideally, the second span should utilize this structure. A 12m steel girder bridge is located at the second crossing but will need to be assessed for and if necessary, a new design and Site plan will be required utilizing the existing structure. TIMELINE: Request for proposal from engineering consultant services, is underway. Professional Services require the preparation and submission of two general arrangements and site plans. Further update in late 2026, upon approvals.
