Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Yakima, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for the replacement of Nile Road Bridge #1396, including geotechnical investigation, environmental documentation, hydraulics, permit applications, plans, specifications, and estimate. Nile Road Bridge #1396 is located over Rattlesnake Creek on Nile Road near National Forest Road NF-1500. Yakima County reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with this project. The project is estimated to start the design phase in November 2026 and be completed by December 2028. The cost-plus fixed fee agreement will be for approximately 24 months in duration with the option for Yakima County to extend it for additional time and money if necessary.
