The general scope of work for the Raa Middle School Gymnasium project includes demolition of the existing gymnasium building (Building 10) and the construction of a new 38,500SF building comprised of a gymnasium, stage, four music arts classrooms, lobby, locker rooms, mezzanines, utility yard, and supporting spaces. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition and asbestos abatement, site clearing and grading, a new storm water management facility and drainage system, concrete, masonry, structural steel, metal roof and wall panels, cabinetry, aluminum storefront, glass and glazing, doors, frames, hardware, overhead doors, specialties, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical ceilings, ceramic tile, resinous flooring, LVT, carpet, wood gymnasium flooring, paints and coatings, aluminum walkway canopies, signage, food service equipment, stage curtains, audio visual equipment, gymnasium equipment, bleachers, lockers, fire sprinkler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and exterior improvements. This project represents the first phase in a series of improvements planned for Raa Middle School , ultimately leading to the reconstruction of the entire campus in accordance with the new master plan. The master plan includes a new gymnasium, two multistory classroom buildings, an administration and media center building, and a new parent drop off/pickup lane on the south side of campus, followed by demolition of most existing buildings and construction of new sports fields on the north side of campus. Utilities installed as part of this phase will be sized and configured to support the future campus buildings and site improvements. Bonds: $100,000 Performance Bond, $100,000 Payment Bond.
