The proposed work includes, but is not limited to, 7 alleys and 4 parking lots making up the base bid, and 1 alley as an alternate bid location. All the alleys and parking lots are located throughout the City of Elgin, Illinois. Their improvements include, but are not limited to, HMA removal/replacement, PCC pavement removal/replacement, aggregate base repair, curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk & ADA curb ramp upgrades, removal and replacement of light pole & pole foundation, pavement striping, frame adjustments, and drainage improvements, where applicable. Locations of these improvements are as follows: 1 ) 169 Dexter Avenue parking lot; 2) The Centre of Elgin North parking lot; 3) Alley Between 109 and 113 E. Highland Avenue (South of Highland Avenue); 4) Elgin Fire Station No. 3 parking lot (2455 Royal Blvd.); 5) LaSalle Place alley between Wing Street/N . McLean Blvd. and Kaskaskia Avenue; 6) LaSalle Place alley between Harlan Avenue and Kaskaskia Avenue; 7) Kaskaskia Avenue alley between Kane Avenue and the west terminus; 8) North Spring Street alley between Lovell Street and Center Street; 9) North Spring Street alley between Cooper Avenue and Slade Avenue; 10) North Spring Street alley between Slade Avenue and Lincoln Avenue; 11 ) Oakland Avenue alley between Liberty Street and Preston Street; and (Alt. ) 12) Parking lot located at the intersection of Fulton Street and Villa Street. The total length of the project's alleys is 3,339 FT (0.63 miles); the total area of the project's parking lots (base bid) is 4,384 SY; and the alternate bid parking lot area is 1,799 SY.
