Description

Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Elgin, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Replacement of GAC filter media at the Riverside Water Treatment Plant. Question Cut Off Date: 8/19/2026 01:00 PM (ET) All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the City's Purchasing Director The City of Elgin is inviting bids for 2026 Filter Media Replacement at its Riverside Water Treatment Plant, 375 West River Road, Elgin, IL. The project will consist of removal and disposal of approximately 1,090 cu. ft. of spent GAC from each of two filters [Filters #2 and #4] at Riverside; work on the Leopold model S surface agitator wash arms. The nozzles used on the wash arms are a Leopold (Xylem) product, installation of fine filter sand (if necessary) and virgin GAC into the same two filters as described in the Detailed Specifications below.
