The project consists of a new expanded playground, new ADA sidewalk as well as a new formal-ized path to the properties west of the park. New standardized site furnishings and frontage fence along with a small number of new tree plantings The Engineer's estimated range for this project is $530,000 to $580,000. Apprentice Utilization Require-ments are mandatory for all public works estimated to cost one mil-lion dollars or more, in which case no less than 15% of the labor hours must be performed by apprentices. KCC 6.01.030. A cashier's check, cash or sure-ty bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be included with the bid. The City of Kent reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alter-nates or to waive any informali-ties in the bidding and shall deter-mine which bid or bidders is the most responsive, satisfactory and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof. Bidders must submit with their initial bid a signed statement as to whether they have previous-ly performed work subject to the President's Executive Order No. 11246. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the day of bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
