The project consists of two related scopes of work a) Replacing the elevator control and drive systems on one elevator. Control and operation switches and wiring will be replaced. The elevator cab shell , platform, and sling will be replaced. A new hydraulic jack and power unit using a VVVF drive and electronic valve will be installed to make the elevator as efficient as possible. New cab interior finishes will be installed. The hall fixtures will be replaced. The door operator will be replaced and will be adjusted to make the elevator perform optimally. The car and hoistway will have the door panels replaced . The hall door hangers will be replaced with new style hangers that incorporate safety retainers b) One Wheelchair Lift replacement Respondents may submit a proposal covering both scopes of work or only one scope of work, at their discretion. The University reserves the right to make one or multiple awards based on the scope(s) proposed and the results of the evaluation process. The University of Texas at Austin (University) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to perform work (Work) more specifically described in Exhibits A and B (Scope of Work) of this Request for Proposal (RFP), including replacing the elevator control and drive systems on one elevator and replacing one wheelchair lift at the HRH building.
