Work of the Project, of which Work of this Contract is a part, comprises the following: 1. Name: IR 2 Bed Unit – A Building SMH (Part 3 of IR/IC Renovation) 2. Duration: 10 months 1. Phase 1 Phased Occupancy (IV Prep Area) – December 11, 2026 2. Ready-for-Takeover – July 30, 2027 Work of this Contract comprises the following: The Work shall be completed in two phases to facilitate continued operation of the department. 1. Phase 1 – IV Prep Area 1. Demolish the existing Clean Storage Room and portions of the Waiting Area as indicated. 2. Construct a new IV Preparation Room complete with new partitions, finishes, ceiling, flooring and one (1) Hand Hygiene Sink (HHS). 3. Complete all associated architectural, mechanical and electrical work. 2. Phase 2 – Two-Bed Stage 1 Recovery Area 1. Demolish the existing Care Team Station, washroom and adjacent rooms as indicated. 2. Construct two (2) new Stage 1 Recovery Bays, a new Care Team Station, washroom and support spaces. 3. Upgrade existing walls to achieve the required one-hour fireresistance rating, including firestopping of service penetrations. 4. Install new finishes, wall protection, two (2) Hand Hygiene Sinks (HHS), rooftop exhaust fans, and complete all associated architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and medical gas work.
