The Town of Acton, in collaboration with the Acton Water District, received a grant from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) and funds from the Town of Acton Community Preservation Committee to transform this seemingly private property into a welcoming, wildlife-certified, educational space. This new space functions as a pocket park and as a location for outreach, education, and public engagement on climate resilience. The addition of this patio to the pocket park will ensure that elements including the accessible picnic tables and raised garden beds are accessible for all visitors to use.
