Electrical Connection : Install a dedicated outdoor electrical control panel . Wire the pump system to the main household electrical panel per local electrical codes. A disconnect shall be provided adjacent to the pump per NEC code. The pump controls will be located in the top housing of the core unit inside a waterproof access cover. They may also be located adjacent to the disconnect switch, in a NEMA 4 box. A transfer switch shall be provided so that the grinder pump can be powered by a generator during a prolonged power outage. All electrical equipment must be UL listed . All equipment must be tested in accordance with the NEC. Low Pressure Force Main Piping (LPFM) Excavation & Piping: Trench and install 10 linear feet of 4" PVC sewer line and 1 1/2" diameter X 363 linear feet (approximate) Low Pressure Force Main (LPFM) SCH . 80 PVC. The low pressure sewer main shall be marked by tracer wire in accordance with the County standards. Tie-In: Connect the property's gravity sewer line to the new grinder pump tank. Connect the pressure force main to the municipal sewer tap. A mechanical joint plug valve shall be provided at each change in pipe size. All low pressure mains and force mains shall be restrained. Restoration: Backfill all trenches, compact soil to prevent settling, rake, seed, and straw disturbed lawn areas. Repair any impacted driveway or walkway surfaces.
