Site work for a water / sewer project in Portland, Oregon. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and surveying services necessary to perform the comprehensive repair and rehabilitation of Tainter Valve TV1 at the navigation lock fill culverts. Work includes repairing structural defects identified by engineering drawings and any additional damage discovered during rehabilitation, including weld cracking, skin plate cracking, cavitation damage, corrosion, and paint system failure. Structural repairs must comply with AWS D1.1 requirements and include repair or replacement of damaged skin plates, girders, and other structural members. Corroded areas and failed protective coating systems must be repaired in accordance with USACE specifications. Fabrication work must be performed by an AISC-certified fabrication facility with documented experience on similar projects. Rehabilitation activities include removal and replacement of top, bottom, and side seals, seal plates, and associated hardware; installation of new armor plate sections over cavitated regions of the downstream skin plate; and replacement of lifting eye and trunnion self-lubricating bushings, including possible in-place machining of oversized bushings to correct valve misalignment and warping. Replacement components must meet USACE requirements for submerged marine environments and failure-critical applications. Close coordination with USACE personnel is required to ensure proper alignment of the valve during reinstallation. The work also includes removing the Tainter valve from the navigation lock, transporting it to a qualified fabrication facility for repair, and returning it to the project site for reinstallation. The contractor must perform as-built dimensional control surveys upon valve removal, after completion of repairs at the fabrication shop, and immediately prior to reinstallation to verify dimensional accuracy and proper fit. The estimated period of performance is 150 days after notice to proceed. Magnitude of Construction: The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
