The Town of Hempstead Department of Planning and Economic Development seeks proposals from firms and/or individuals to provide professional engineering services for the implementation of ongoing and proposed community development projects, including Downtown Beautification Streetscapes, as well as other Town projects. The selected firm(s) will be the engineering consultant to the Town projects and be called upon on an as-need-basis. Assignments the selected firm(s) may be called upon to perform include but are not limited to: The preparation of preliminary concept designs for Downtown Streetscape Beautification The preparation of survey plans, design specifications, and bid documents necessary for public bidding. Perform field supervision to ensure compliance and prepare approved payment schedules. The selected firm(s) will receive a contract for (1) year upon approval by the Town Board. The contract will include an option for the Town, in its sole discretion, to extend said contract for an additional year. The option shall not be deemed a renewal or extension, but a part of the original contract. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and request further information from respondents.
