Demolition, site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Odem, Texas. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development; for the construction of a multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
The Housing Authority of Odem (the 'Housing Authority') is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and/or firms (Developer) interested in partnering with the Housing Authority or an entity created to act on its behalf, to undertake the demolition of existing public housing properties and the reconstruction of new high-quality multifamily developments. This may include both redevelopment of current sites and new construction on alternative sites. The proposed redevelopment would consist of approximately up to 26 affordable housing units by leveraging HUD's Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program, Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and complementary financing sources. The Housing Authority maY. develop other affordable housing developments and at its sole option may use the selected developer. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
