It was determined during the planning process ofthe new Public Safety Building that there weren't sufficient funds to add to the new Public Safety Building the Emergency Services component. The plans were created to allow for this to be added at a future date. A larger, more modern facility is needed to provide expansion space, modernized dispatch center and a dedicated Emergency Operations Center with appropriate facilities including bunk space and kitchen facilities. This is being postponed further due to lack offunding, primarily related to forward funding for the Fruitland Primary project. The FY28 funding is for additional design and planning requirements. The project is included in the County 2027 - 2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
