The project generally consists of removing and disposing one (1) existing boiler and furnishing and installing a new replacement boiler of similar capacity and service, unless otherwise directed by the Owner (ADLC) or indicated by the contract documents. The intent of the project is to provide a complete, operational, code-compliant, and efficient boiler installation while reusing existing utilities, piping, venting pathways, controls infrastructure, housekeeping pad, floor drains, gas service, hydronic piping, and other existing conditions where practical. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to ADLC, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER. Anaconda-Deer Lodge County (ADLC) is seeking qualified mechanical or plumbing contractors to submit bids to complete the boiler replacement work in compliance with this Request for Proposal, the project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.
