Complete replacement of Pumping Station #3 including demolition of existing station; new wet well, valve room, electrical room and access structures; temporary bypass pumping; civil works; sanitary and storm sewer works; process piping; pumps; grinder; overflow bar screen; odor control system; HVAC; generator; MCC; ATS; SCADA and controls; electrical systems; site restoration, paving, fencing and grading. Upon commissioning of the new pumping station, wastewater flows will be transitioned from the existing Pumping Station No. 3 to the new facility. Following the successful transition of operations, the existing pumping station, along with redundant underground infrastructure, will be decommissioned and demolished as part of this Contract. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to: Site preparation and temporary works; Deep excavation and construction of a new pumping station wet well; Construction of a new pumping station building; Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of pumping station equipment, including pumps, standby generator, odour control system, and associated mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems; Bypass pumping and maintenance of existing services during construction; Transition of wastewater flows from the existing Pumping Station No. 3 to the new pumping station; Decommissioning, demolition, and removal of the existing pumping station and redundant underground infrastructure; Restoration and reinstatement of all disturbed areas, including roadways, curbs, parking lots, retaining walls, landscaping, and other site features. The project is situated within a busy commercial and retail area. The Contractor shall maintain safe access to all businesses and properties throughout the duration of the Work and shall plan and execute construction activities to minimize disruption to businesses, residents, pedestrians, and vehicular traffic. Work includes the implementation of environmental protection measures; obtaining, maintaining, and complying with all required permits and approvals; traffic control; coordination with stakeholders, utility providers, and regulatory agencies; preparation of record drawings; and submission of as-built documentation. The Contract includes all labour, materials, equipment, supervision, incidentals, and related work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents, Drawings, and Specifications.
