Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Bryan, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.

Provision of pre-construction services including constructability guidance, cost estimates, and construction schedules, providing a Guaranteed Maximum Price, and complete construction services for the Ballistic Aero-Optics and Materials Range Phase 2 project. Any questions regarding this RFP shall be directed to: Jeff Herring The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction 301 Tarrow Street, 2nd Floor College Station, Texas 77840-7896 Phone: (979) 458-7006 E-mail: jeffery.herring@tamus.edu This project is an expansion of the Ballistic Aero-Optics and Materials Range that was completed in 2024 on the RELLIS campus. This facility provides the ability to test the following: 1) Ballistics Testing of Projectiles (Prototype-Test Articles) and Materials 2) Hypersonic Testing of Projectiles (currently 240m controlled/guided flight + 305m of deceleration tube, as measured from the end of the two-stage light-gas gun barrel at north end of the range to the end of guided rail system mid-range) 3) Aero-optics Testing (currently over 400m, measured from origin at south end of the range to target area at north end of the range) To achieve more capability, it is desired for the range to extend its aero-optics capability beyond 1000m (1km) and its hypersonic capability beyond 500m with a recovery (deceleration) tube doubled from its current length of 305m to approximately 610m. With the expansion of the range from its current configuration, a new "Tail Building" will be required at the south end of the expanded range. This building will house the relocated Laser Firing Tank as well as house the final sections of the recovery/deceleration tube. The current Tail Building will remain, serving as a storage and test building mid-range. Designed with standardized component lengths that include 14.6m long range tube sections with expansion and test sections spaced roughly 300' apart, the new expanded range will include at least two additional test buildings (aligned with test sections). The Planning Amount for this project is $70,605,000. The Planning Amount includes an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of $ 17,129,803 . The balance of the Planning Amount is made up of fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies. The A&M System requires the Respondent to submit an SP form for this RFP. The SP form must include all subcontractors, subconsultants, suppliers, and vendors intended to be included in the Respondents team . The A&M System has set a good faith effort goal of 2% for this RFP. For more information, please reference Section V
