Airport Road Repairs Rock County Purchasing Department and the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport is seeking bids for chip seal , crack filling, and cold mix wedging to be completed in the 2026 construction season . PROJECT LOCATIONS West Airport Road - Highway 51 to Parking Lot - South Atlantis Drive - West Airport Road to End South Columbia Drive - Entire Road SURFACE PREPARATION All cracks shall be cleaned and sealed using Crafco Poly-Fiber Type 3 prior to chip sealing. Immediately prior to bituminous application, all surfaces shall be swept and blownusing a power broom/blower combination to remove all dirt, dust, and deleterious material. Any remaining material shall be removed by hand . Any surface imperfections including potholes, small depressions, and large cracks shall be cleaned and patched using cold mix patch material prior to chip seal application. Hand patching and bar patching must be included in the bid price. BITUMINOUS MATERIAL Liquid asphalt shall be CRS- 2 or HFRS-2, produced at a state-certified asphalt facility.
