Renovation of an educational facility in Long Beach, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project entails the renovation of all campus buildings, including demolition of the existing TK/K building and four portables and the addition of a new TK/K building. It includes new HVAC systems in classrooms, offices, and key areas such as the auditorium, cafeteria, and kitchen, along with accessibility upgrades, necessary utility improvements, and the replacement of building finishes such as ceilings, flooring, painting, and lighting. The scope also includes campus-wide tactile signage, fire alarm system upgrades, and seismic enhancements where required by DSA standards. In addition, Measure Q improvements are incorporated, including enhanced colored paving, a new real turf play field, and new trees. TIMELINE: As of September 10, 2026, construction documents are complete and pending DSA approval. A general contractor has been selected. Construction is scheduled to begin Summer 2027 and be completed August 2028. Attempts to obtain more information is underway.
