Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 165,330-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
This is a Request for Contractor Qualifications in order to apply for prequalification for bidding on the construction of a new high school in the Ottawa community of Half Moon Bay. The District intends to construct a 165,330 square foot, three-storey high school (approximate size) complete with quadruple gymnasium in Ottawa community of Half Moon Bay. The Invitation to Tender will be called in Spring/Summer 2027 with an expected construction completion date of 1 August 2029. Construction of a three-storey high school with approximately 15,360 square metres of gross floor area. The proposed development includes a parking lot, a bus loop, a parent pick-up and drop-off area, an area for portables, and a recreational area. The new school will provide 1,474 pupil places, including 40 classrooms, 6 art and music rooms, 8 science laboratories, 5 technology and vocational classrooms, 4 special education spaces, and a learning commons space. Respondents must enclose a letter of reference from its financial institution confirming the Respondent's ability to finance a construction project up to $65,000,000 in value. Failure to include letter of reference will result in the prequalification submission being deemed non-compliant.
