The project generally consists of two components: improvements to the existing restroom building based on deficiencies identified in the City's ADA assessment, and improvements to exterior concrete areas and accessible routes surrounding the facility. The ADA assessment identifies specific restroom deficiencies and provides recommended corrective actions, which will be included as an attachment to this RFP. The exterior concrete portion of the project has identified accessibility deficiencies but does not have complete construction plans or specifications. The selected contractor will be responsible for evaluating existing conditions and developing and implementing appropriate solutions necessary to achieve compliance, including any design or engineering services required to complete the work. All work shall comply with applicable ADA requirements, PROWAG where applicable, City of Edgewater specifications, applicable building codes, and other federal , state, and local requirements. The City intends to select a contractor based on qualifications, relevant experience, proposed project approach, schedule, cost, and the overall ability of the proposer to successfully complete the project. Award will not be based solely on the lowest proposed price. The City of Edgewater is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to complete ADA accessibility improvements at Citizens Park. The project includes renovations to the existing restroom building to correct identified ADA deficiencies, as well as improvements to surrounding concrete pathways and accessible routes.
