The Welland Public Library is seeking a qualified firm to oversee a pre-construction engineering review (inclusive of mock-ups) of a conceptual architectural design for an adjustable workstation to confirm feasibility, constructability, budgetary assumptions, AODA compliance, and safety. The successful proponent will also manage the safe and efficient demolition and removal of the existing central service desk at the Main Branch of the Welland Public Library as well as the construction and installation of the new adjustable workstation in a manner that is minimally disruptive to operations. The Welland Public Library is seeking Proposal responses from qualified and experienced General Contracting Firms to provide an RFP response for: - An engineering review of conceptual drawings and mock-up of engineering, pre-construction level schematics required for the successful construction of a new service desk - Demolition and removal of the existing service desk in a safe and minimally disruptive manner - Construction and installation of a new adjustable information desk in alignment with the approved conceptual and engineering drawings - Repair/replacement of carpet tile and anti-fatigue flooring as required using the Library's existing stock of materials - Provisional pricing for a stationary desk (one seated and two standing stations) in the event that the conceptual design cannot be constructed due to feasibility, safety, and/or budgetary reasons.
