The work under this contract shall include Dishwasher replacement for nine different schools in the City of Holyoke, MA; Lt. Elmer J. McMahon Elementary School, Lt. Clayre P. Sullivan Elementary School, Holyoke High School, William G. Morgan Elementary School, Maurice A. Donahue Elementary School, E.N. White Elementary School, H.B.Lawrence Elementary School, William J. Dean Tech High School, and Marcella R. Kelly Elementary School. (markh@dietzarch.com) The Work consists of architectural and engineering services for the replacement of commercial dishwasher units at nine (9) school cafeterias. General Information: The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to the following: a. Equipment Replacement: Removal and legal disposal of existing commercial dishwasher units and installation of new Owner-selected dishwasher models at nine (9) designated school sites. b. Mechanical Systems: Installation of new sidewall dishwasher exhaust systems, including all necessary ductwork, fans, and exterior penetrations, at Lt. Elmer J. McMahon, Lt. Clayre P. Sullivan, and William G. Morgan schools. c. Utility Modifications: Modification of existing plumbing (supply and waste), electrical (power and data), and mechanical (ventilation) systems to accommodate new equipment rough-ins and final connections. d. Selective Demolition & Abatement: Selective demolition of interior partitions or floor slabs as required for utility routing, including the abatement of hazardous materials (asbestos/lead) if disturbed during the Work. e. Interior Restoration: Patching, painting, and refinishing of wall, floor, and ceiling surfaces disturbed by equipment removal, new utility installation, or exhaust duct routing to match existing conditions. f. Site Logistics: Coordination of deliveries and equipment rigging through occupied school buildings; provision of floor protection and dust control throughout the construction path. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids if in the city's best interest.
