Agricultural field tile repair and new tile installation on University-managed land. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 8/19/2026 01:00:00 PM (ET) Scope of Work & Contractor Responsibilities The selected Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, heavy equipment, mobilization, and supervision necessary to complete the tiling installation as outlined in the provided field maps and estimated supply list. 2.1 Locating & Existing Tile Integration o o Exploratory & Field Mapping: Contractor must locate and map existing subsurface tile lines (including exact position, depth, pipe size, and overall condition). Integration/Repair: Existing tile lines must be preserved, repaired where necessary, and integrated seamlessly into the new installation layout. As-Built Documentation: Upon completion, Contractor must deliver an updated, accurate " as-built" tile map displaying all new and existing lines. 2.2 Installation Specifications o Tile Spacing & Sizing: Install new 4-inch subsurface plastic drain tile at 60-foot spacing. Material Requirements : Tile must be 4-inch single-wall , perforated plastic tile. County Main Connections: Connect new and integrated tile runs into the existing Redwood County main drainage tile infrastructure. Site Restoration: Backfill and level all plowed, trenched, or open-cut ditches immediately following installation.Materials & Field Layout References Field Maps: Attached as part of the RFP documentation. (See Exhibit 2 Field Tiling Maps) Pages 1 through 2: Paxton Township site and drainage layouts. O Page 3: Redwood Falls Township site and drainage layouts. Note: Maps delineate both proposed new tile runs and known existing tile. Estimated Quantities: Contractors must reference the attached Exhibit 3: Estimated Supply List included in the solicitation packet for preliminary linear footage and fitting counts. 4. Work Window & Site Access Constraints o Target Schedule: Work is scheduled to take place between late September and early November 2026, prior to ground freeze. Crop Harvest Coordination: Rye Fields: Harvested; cleared for access. Soybean Fields: Active crop present. Tiling in these specific spaces cannot commence until the soybean harvest is completed by the tenant. Access dates will be weather-dependent. Mobilization: All equipment transportation and mobilization fees must be included in the Responder's base cost proposal.
