Site work and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
The project area is located at Mount Lehman Road and Downes Road in Abbotsford, BC. The City of Abbotsford (the “City”) has identified the need to upgrade the existing intersection to address future traffic volumes. The City is looking to widen Mount Lehman Road and add an additional southbound lane which merges just south of the intersection and an additional northbound right-turn lane. Mount Lehman Road and Downes Road experiences moderate volumes of traffic throughout the daytime and evenings. Businesses near this intersection will be sensitive to dust, noise, and vibrations caused by construction activities. Construction within the roadway must be managed to mitigate these impacts where possible and to ensure consistent vehicle access is maintained to the mall. The scope of work for this project generally includes the following: Earthworks for the new widened roadway Road construction, concrete curbs, sidewalk, and asphalt paving Pavement markings and signage (by City Forces) Lock Block retaining wall Roadway lighting Traffic signals modifications Landscaping and site restoration Coordination with 3rd party utilities Documents can be obtained from https://abbotsford.bidsandtenders.ca/
